Day of Thanks :: Day 8

Day eight: I am thankful for my Momma.

This one is a given. Anyone that knows me, knows my love for my mom. She is one of my most favorite people on this entire planet! My mom is the strongest woman that I know. She is AMAZING. That's right... amazing! My mom has taught me so much. She is the hardest working woman I know, she is crafty + artistic, has some of the best advice, and has so much love to give. I get so much of my personality from my mom. We have the same sense of humor, a lot of the same quirks, we're both super emotional (I blame that completely on her side of the family), and we both really like to antique. My mom is one of my best friends and I love any moment we get to spend together. Look at this lady, how could you not like her?

Day of Thanks :: Day 7

Day seven: I am thankful for my sisters.

I talked about my brother a couple days ago. He is biological. I do not have any biological sisters. I am so thankful that God has given me TONS of wonderful ladies to share and speak into my life. They are all so awesome. If I talked about each one this time of thankfulness would take like 75 days. Growing up I always had wished that I had a sister (or three). Now that I am older, I see why God didn't give me any blood sisters. I have so many great relationships with so many awesome ladies that I would never ask for anything else. I am SO blessed. Every week I am in awe at the things He does, and the ways that He uses these ladies to help me grow. So, Thanks God! You're pretty cool!

If I were to post pictures of all the people I'd like to post pictures of, this post would be about 12 pages long. So, I'll resist. If you wish to see pictures you can like my Facebook page and you're bound to see many pictures of them and their families! :)

Day of Thanks :: Day 5 + 6

Days five + six: I am thankful for my husband.

Okay, okay. I know I missed a day. Life gets busy, that's why I typically don't do these feature so many days in a row things. I am always SO busy, so it's hard for me to post every day consistently. I am working really hard to change that because I love posting. Anyway, since I had two days open to do, I figured I would put them together. My husband is so worth two days of thanks, actually I would just talk about him and post pictures of us all ten days.. but you guys would probably get bored. I am so so SO thankful for him. He is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me (besides Jesus, of course. He is the obvious #1). Jason is the biggest blessing in my life. He teaches me so much and gives me so much insight on life. I love that he is a man of God, and stands up for what he believes in. He is so encouraging and so loving. Not to mention we look pretty dang good together :)

Days of Thanks :: Day four

Day four: I am thankful for my daddy.

Think what you want... I still call my dad, daddy. Most people that know me well, know my love for snowboarding. My dad has always been behind my snowboarding, he was the one who bought me my first snowboard. Made sure I got to the ski hill on a regular basis, and made sure I had a seasons pass so I could practice. I learned how to ski at a very young age and quickly took a liking to snowboarding. He has always encouraged me to practice and do my best at everything. I'm so thankful for his commitment to always encourage me to chase after my dreams. Another really cool thing about my dad is how much he loves the Brewers. This summer we went to my first brewers game, and it was so fun experiencing that with him! If I were to dig through photo boxes at my moms house I'm sure I could find countless photos of us growing up. I sadly do not have many pictures of him and I on my current computer.

Days of Thanks :: Day Three

Day three: I am thankful for my brother.

Hands down, I have the most awesome, cool, smart brother in the world. For real guys, he is the smartest person I know. Growing up I picked on him A LOT and tried to call him names that didn't make sense... then he would correct me and I would get mad. As we grew older we stopped fighting and actually started to really enjoy each other ( I hope he feels the same way). Jake is an interesting guy and always has something cool to share. I'm so thankful for him in my life. He has always been there for me even through our constant battles growing up. I've learned so much from him and always look forward to the time that I get to spend with him. He is currently living in Louisville, KY furthering his studies in Physics (which I can never understand when he talks about school) and married to his middle school/high school/college sweetheart. He shows so much devotion to the things he loves, and I really look up to him!

He does stuff like this to me and I have no defense against it. He used to choke slam me. At least this is less painful.

Isn't he cool? Yeah I know.. everyone should be jealous! I love him!

Day of Thanks :: Day two

Day two: I am thankful for our home.

My husband and I live in a two bedroom apartment in Milwaukee, WI. We live on a noisy, busy, bright corner one one of the main thoroughfares in the area. All that put together doesn't sound very appealing. But, it is. We love it. Sometimes we have to turn the TV up or talk a little louder. We can hear the train a block away, and there are always lines of traffic right out our window. We actually wish we lived even more in the city (or in downtown Chicago). We have made this little apartment, home. I'm so thankful that my husband is into decorating, but still lets me have my style. He helps me with my collections (teapots, old mason jars, cameras, and wooden spoons) and is a handyman when I need him to saw, paint, drill, or hang anything.  I hope you enjoy the pictures of our home just as much as we enjoy them. :) And while you're at it, check out my website www.krosephotog.com it's brand spankin' new and would love for you to visit!

New website/"ten days of thanks" kick off

I have been so incredibly busy working on this new website and editing TONS of pictures the last couple weeks. I am so excited to launch this new website, it is so exciting to see where my business is going and where it has come from. Please check out the new website (www.krosephotog.com) and give me your feed back, I'd love to hear. Another exciting project I am starting is "Ten Days of Thanks" the next ten days leading up to Thanksgiving each day will be a new blog post featuring something that I am thankful for. I've been digging in and doing a lot of clinics and other fun things to learn how to further my business, and the number one thing other photographers and companies are saying is, make it personal. Writing is a weakness of mine, so it will be an interesting journey. I am so excited to jump in and see whats next!

Day one :: Showit

This may seem lame, to say one of the top 10 things I'm thankful for right now is my website builder. But honestly, they have been amazing. It is so easy to design, and their crew is so helpful. I'm am genuinely so thankful for the help that they have givin me in aiding the launch of the updated website. The design and build time was almost nothing. There were a few bumps, and they communicated so well and helped get it up and running. Photographer friends, I would seriously suggest looking into these guys!

Their website is www.showitfast.com
